Project Description: World Food Center – Water Policy Briefs

What impact does your fellowship work have on your campus, your community, the state, or the world? Ryan’s Water Policy Briefs will be distributed in Washington, DC to help policy makers understand the deep connection between food and water systems.

What is a recent success in your project? A recent success was meeting with UC Davis professors specializing in water issues and developing a plan with them on publishing policy briefs.

Why are you interested in the Carbon Neutrality Initiative? As a Global Food Initiative Fellow, Ryan gets to work with the people he admires at UC Davis. Ryan is looking forward to the impact that all the fellows can have on the entire UC System!

What do you hope to do in the future using the tools you developed during the fellowship? In the future, Ryan hopes to retain the skills he developed in designing and publishing policy briefs in order to help policy makers choose wisely when it comes to food and environmental decisions.
