Fellow Spotlight: Estella Shi

Fellowship Type: Carbon Neutrality Fellow for Research

Campus: LBNL

Degree Objective: Applied Mathematics B.S. at UC Berkeley

Project Description: Energy-use management through data analysis

What impact does your fellowship work have on your campus, your community, the state, or the world? Estella and her fellow researchers want to reduce commodity usage through smart data analysis.

What is a recent success in your project? Estella has already determined a set way to monitor commodity usage.

Why are you interested in the Carbon Neutrality Initiative? Sustainability should be a priority for residents of this planet, and as a resident, I feel a responsibility to help keep this world alive and healthy.

What do you hope to do in the future using the tools you developed during the fellowship? Estella wants to keep helping the world (small or large-scale) become a more ecologically-friendly and sustainable place!
