Communication fellowship opportunity

Students of the University of California:

We would like to let you know about some great opportunities for students interested in sustainability, the UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative, or communications. UC President Janet Napolitano has announced the creation of a Sustainability Student Fellowship/Internship Program. This program will be similar to the fellowship positions created as part of the Global Food Initiative. Check out the press release from the Office of the President here.

Each campus will be offering fellowships and the positions will be slightly different at each campus. However, at each UC campus, one student recipient will be dedicated to supporting student engagement and communications efforts on that campus for the Carbon Neutrality Initiative and the President’s Global Climate Leadership Council. This fellow will execute efforts on their individual campuses and work with the Student Representatives on the Global Climate Leadership Council to collaborate across campuses and share information.

If you are interested in interacting with your student representatives to the GCLC and playing a role in engaging and empowering students on your campus to meet our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2025 or in learning more about the fellowship positions available on your campus please contact your Sustainability Office for more information or send us an email at gclc.student.reps@gmail.com.
